Age-indeterminate nondisplaced fracture of the sublime tubercle of the ulna.

No joint malalignment.

No elbow joint effusion.

Mild ulnohumeral joint degenerative changes.

Mild olecranon enthesopathy.

Discussion

  • The anterior bundle of the medial (ulnar) collateral ligament inserts on the sublime tubercle along the medial aspect of the coronoid process and is an important elbow stabilizer
  • Avulsion fractures of the sublime tubercle are not uncommon and can be very subtle
  • Just like Segond fractures in the knee, the sublime tubercle should be a specific part of your search pattern to avoid missing these fractures
