  • Acute comminuted, minimally displaced proximal radial fracture with intraarticular extension. The radial head articular fracture component has 3 mm displacement and involves about 30% of the articular surface
  • Elbow joint effusion

  • Radial head/proximal radius fracture

No joint malalignment.

Elbow joint effusion.

Joint spaces are maintained.


Discussion

  • When describing radial head fractures, make sure to discuss displacement, extent of articular surface involvement, and associated joint subluxation, as these factor impact potential surgical management
