C6 upon C7 anterolithesis. There is prevertebral edema at C6-T1. Finding are concerning for Discitis.

FINDINGS:

There is a mildly displaced fracture of the left lateral mass of C6. No evidence of unstable spinal fractures or involvement of the spinal canal. Moderate multilevel degenerative changes of the spine. The partially visualized mastoid air cells are clear. The soft tissues are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION:

Mildly displaced fracture of the left lateral mass of C6. No other acute findings.

Acute nondisplaced fracture of the LEFT lateral mass of C1. No malalignment. No prevertebral edema. Multilevel degenerative changes to the cervical spine.

Widening of C6-C7 interspinous space with acute fracture of C6 inferior facet and prominent prevertebral soft tissue swelling at this level. Suspicious for hyperflexion injury. Anterolisthesis of C6 on C7.

grade 1 anterolistheisis of C6 on C7. Acute traumatic herniation of the C6-C7 disk resulting in severe central canal and spinal canal stenosis. Epidural hematoma is difficult to exclude on this noncontrasted CT. Recommend MRI/neurosurgery consult.

1. Anterolisthesis of C6-C7 measuring x mm with b/l perchered facets at this level without associated fracture. Findings suggesting of posterior ligamentous complex injury. No prevertebral swelling. Consider MRI for further evaluation.

Adjacent prevertebral edema. MRI could further evaluate extent of ligamentous injury or for injury to the cord.

Fracture-dislocation of left C5-C6 facet with traumatic anterolisthesis.

Fractures include:

Minimally displaced C6 anterior superior endplate fracture. No significant height loss.

Left pars fracture with association anterior subluxation of C5-C6 facet.

Anterolistehsis produces mild stenosis on canal.

No evidence of hemorrhage.

Acute fracture of the left C6 inferior articulating process with associated perched facet joint, grade 1 anterolisthes of C6 on C7, and widening of the space between C6 and C7 spinous process, concerning for ligamentous injury. MRI could further evalaute.

Fractures of the anterior inferior aspect of C6 vert body and anterior superior aspect of C7 vert body.

Focal acute flexion/distraction injury at C6/C7 resulting in mild anterolisthesis, splaying of the spinous processes, and perched left facet joint at these levels. Recommend MRI to evaluate extend of ligamentous injury and possible spinal cord injury.

Resulting acute, minimally displaced coronal fracture through the spinous process of C6 and the superior articulating facet of C7. Additional remote-appearing corner fractures versus osteophytes of C7 vertebral body.

Anterior height loss at C5 and to a lesser degree at C6, concerning for age indeterminate compression fractures. Asymmetric widening of the left atlantoaxial joint consistent with ligamentous injury. MRI could further assess. Anterolisthesis of C6 on C7 with bilateral perched facets at that level. There is associated fracture of bilateral inferior articular processes at C6. Right first rib fracture. Mild prevertebral edema.

Acute mildly displaced fracture of the left C6 inferior articular facet with associated perched C6-C7 facet joint on the left. There is associated widening of the C6-C7 interspinous distance, as well as mild anterolisthesis of C6 on C7. These findings raise concern for associated ligamentous injury, and cervical spine MRI is recommended for further assessment.

Findings in conjunction with posterior disc osteophyte complex at C6-C7 likely result in a mild degree of canal narrowing, with evaluation for mass effect on the cord precluded by imaging artifact in the lower cervical spine. Multilevel disc space narrowing and degenerative endplate changes most pronounced at C6-7 and C7-T1.

Anterolisthesis of C6 on C7 with facet joint space widening concerning for acute ligamentous injury. then region of hyperattenuation ventral to the cord at C6-C7 is concerning for acute epidural hematoma. Significant soft tissue hematoma posterior to the C2-C6 spinous processes is concerning for ligamentous injury. MRI is reccomended for further evaluation.

Cortical irregularity of the anterior aspect of the C7 superior endplate is favored to represent an acute minimally displaced fracture.

Recommend dedicated CT t-spine for further evaluation. Recommend MRI to assess spinal canal involvement and characterize ligamentous injury.
